Mobile Backstage is a mobile social network for music fans. In 2007 it won first prize as the best new mobile innovation in the Web2Mobile business plan competition organized by Nokia, Yahoo! and Red Herring in Silicon Valley.

Mobile Backstage enables user generated content to be shared on mobile phones in real time. It also functions as a tool for mobile marketing and promotion, in addition to being a platform for digital music sales.

Mobile Backstage is under development by Backstage Alliance with Geniem Ltd., a leading Java application and technology developer in Finland, as the main technical partner.

Usability testing will commence in 2008.
