MUSIC PUBLISHING

The importance of music publishing had grown considerably in the recent years due to the radical changes in music industry. Previously the publisher was mainly responsible for printing the musical pieces into sheet music. Today, however, the most important job of the publisher is to administer the pieces and market them actively to places where music is played.

For example, it is chiefly the responsibility of the publisher in order for music to find its way into films, commercials, games etc. The publishing contracts are also an important part of the trade in music business when the artist is taken to the international market.

Backstage Alliance is a member of The Finnish Music Pubhlisher's Association. We work as a professional and fair publisher towards both the songwriters and our partners. We also work with artists who do not have a record or booking contaract with us. We are constantly looking for new songwriters and of course good songs. All the songs will be listened to and we will proivde feedback when necessary.
